Sliding doors are becoming increasingly popular. They look quite
original and allow you to save space, which is important. They are also divided
into types depending on the exterior and practical characteristics. The main
types are parallel sliding and sliding folding doors.
The parallel sliding door is a construction of one or more doors that
move parallel to each other. This type is more durable and provides noise
insulation. The parallel sliding doors include:
- Classic parallel-sliding doors.
- Pocket doors. Being opened, they place in the special niches in the
wall.
- Radial sliding doors. They have a rounded shape and move along rails
of the same radius.
- Cascade doors. The door leaves are fixed on different rails. Thanks to
this they can be collected in one place.
- Built-in sliding doors. This is a cascade door located inside of the
opening. When you open the door, it assembles in one part of the opening. Thus,
the passage opens only partially.
Sliding folding doors look like a harmonic. When you open the door, it
simultaneously folds and moves apart. These doors let in sound and air. So this
model is suitable for decoration or the nominal division of the room. And also
it will be indispensable in case of insufficient space.
